The Bank holiday is creeping up on us again, and I can’t wait. Why aren’t all weekends, long weekends? Who decided there should be just two days in the regular weekend anyway? When I think about bank holidays I imagine kicking back with a drink in hand, none of that DIY mayhem that half the country gets involved with. I do love a good cocktail, and I think it’s the fault of sunshine. Winter is about dark wines and comfort, but Summer is about citrus flavours or something minty and refreshing both of which scream cocktails to me. So how about a bank holiday cocktail recipe to help you on your way? Having a well-stocked cocktail cabinet or bar cart is obviously a good starting point and so is great glasses. But you’ll also need a variety of shapes. The new Mixologist collection from LSA International is a complete range of handmade glasses and bartender’s tools for making and serving just about any cocktail you can think of. It’s a fairly comprehensive collection in a contemporary style that lets you create your very own cocktail bar at home, ideal for those who need to add to their home bar carts. I saw LSA at Maison & Objet this year and previously at Ambiente in Frankfurt, and they always have something I covet on their stand, this time it was the Mixologist. What you might not know about them is, that they are still a family-owned business, their production is in Poland and almost all the glassware is handmade and mouthblown by skilled artisans.
When I was in Milan last month, I became a little fond of Negroni and also the classic Aperol Spritz. So imagine my delight when I got home to find that LSA International had sent me their new Mixologist kit to try out, you might already have seen me trying it out on Instagram. With two handmade martini glasses along with a beautiful glass mixer and wooden muddle– all in one set, it’s a gift anyone would want to receive (well, that’s birthdays sorted for the foreseeable). While we all pray the weather will be on our side for bank holidays, it’s the perfect opportunity to head out into the garden and create an outdoor bar!So, here’s a little bank holiday cocktail recipe that anyone can pull together and is bound to be a sure-fire hit.
It’s Friday afternoon. Make yourself a drink. But make sure you’re prepared to move everything indoors in case the weather changes. It is a bank holiday after all.
The MIXOLOGIST Cocktail Duo Set was gifted to me by LSA International, this is not a sponsored post. Always drink responsibly.
I hope you’ve enjoyed my bank holiday cocktail recipe, if you’d like to see other products I spotted at Maison & Objet this year visit here.

Mmmm, yum, used to love Negronis. And what a beautiful set too, though I would expect no less from LSA. š
oh dear, at the tender age of 39 I have discovered alcoholic drinks. G&T is by far a favourite right now (still, after mojito) but this looks great too. And trust LSA to make a statement for your drinks!
