Iittala X Issey Miyake collection, launched during Stockholm Design week and is the first creative collaboration between the Finnish design brand and the Japanese fashion brand. Two fantastic design brands coming together, what’s not to love?
For me Iittala at Stockholm Design week is all about this fabulous shape and the colour palette, which is desirable and immensely commercial. The collection consists of 30 ceramic, glass and home textiles items that play on the pentagon shape aiming to create harmony. The colour palette and delicate shapes were inspired by the awakening of spring and the blooming of flowers.
I’d love a stack of these beautiful coffee cups in my kitchen and don’t think I’d let them hide away in a cupboard. Maybe a biscuit or three on that lovely irregular shaped plate, bliss.
I’m also pretty taken with the innovative #Pauseforharmony instagram campaign that the brand has launched in conjunction with these new products. To see more posts from Stockholm design week take a look here
