Hunting for French collectables and vintage

As far as I’m concerned there isn’t much
better than an afternoon hunting for vintage and pre-loved bits and bobs. But I
never thought I’d be French vintage hunting in the Suffolk countryside, of all
places, last weekend.  I was introduced
to this French gem by my mother-in-law who lives in Suffolk and I was most
impressed by the Boule-in in Bildeston
run by Cathy and her family. There were many “buy me” french collectables and Cathy has styled them impeccably so that we can all have a piece of France, but found right here on British soil.  My favourites were definitely the enamelware and garden furniture. Plus my 2 year old son loved her garden especially the apple
and pear trees.

I came away with two treats – a fantstaic
red enamel teapot and a rather fetching religious icon (chosen by my husband
who has previously proclaimed he “hates religious tat”).
If you are in the area its definitely
worth a visit.
