It’s not always easy putting together a
dark moody scheme. Planning and having a clear visual cohesion to your
accessories and accents is critical. Over on pinterest (here) I’ve pinned some
rooms with dark walls that are doing it well (and some not so well!).
Whilst I’m kinda over dark grey at the moment I think the above really works because of the great accent colours in the art piece, the brass and the way the vignette has been put together.
shapes + texture = interest
A grey take on the ubiquitous black and white. Plus the lack of clutter makes it sharp looking.
Black on black with either a metallic or hint of white as an accent. Love these.
Brown, Green and Teal work equally well. But….
good lighting + interesting artwork = essential
