I’ve been very quiet of late
primarily due to the foreseeable deadline that is fast approaching (T minus 23
days) and time is slipping through my fingers.
I’ve been wrapping up my work
things and getting the final necessary bits and pieces together for my little
one. It’s been a bit non-stop and I’m about to put my feet up next week for
some rest. I did make a quick trip to Sunbury Antiques about a week ago looking for chairs. But alas none were
forth coming, although I did come home with a delightful dachshund boot
scraper!
Religious statues from a French
dealer, we watched a women select 7 of these for a bargain price, she
definitely choose the prettiest.
Plenty of chairs just not the
shape or size I was after. Although this pair in vinyl could look fab after reupholstering.
French style garden bits and
bobs were everywhere – in the rain though it didn’t seem to have as much “charm”
I was really very tempted by
this plane and garage for our soon to arrive little boy. Took all my willpower to leave behind
(oh and the fact I am seriously out of storage space!). The rocking horse was wonderfully simple and I was quite taken with it.
My dachshund boot scraper. Was dead chuffed by this and its bloomin heavy.
I have also had an Olympic
“fix” last weekend by being lucky enough to go to Wimbledon to see the Olympic Tennis. The
day absolutely pooped me out. Way too much fun for me – Venus and Serena Williams,
Maria Sharapova, Andy Murray,
Laura Robson, Lleyton Hewitt, Jo Tsonga, Nadia Patrova…. the list
goes on. Plus we had a rather yummy afternoon tea.
I might be a little more absent
from here for the next couple of months but I’ll keep you posted on major
events!
