The Decorative Fair Battersea {vintage & antique finds}

The thrice yearly Decorative Antiques and Textile Fair
at Battersea (currently running: 24-29th April) is always on my “to
do” list. Not least because it’s a dog friendly environment so I can take Milo
but it is a great place to source unusual vintage and antiques for your home.
There are around 140 exhibitors and quite often some affordable pieces tucked
in amongst the pricier showstoppers. Yesterday I picked up a chair for a
project from Omnipod and my colleague
purchased some lamps from Interior Eden.
I was quite taken with some pieces at Fiona
McDonald
and also the gorgeous oversized mirror and lanterns at Matthew Cox Antiques.

I’ve certainly picked up a few things
there myself and have a gorgeous brass table in my own home from Interior Eden who
regularly attends the fair.  I know
that my hubby would like a like a sword cane from Geoffrey Breeze and would enthuse about some of the industrial
items
at
Angell Antiques.

Ooh that looks so nice. Not a fusty old antiques fair but everything laid out very appealingly! When's the next one?

Annie the next one is 2nd- 7th October 2012. It's also great inspiration for styling ideas. Most people make such an effort to display their wares well…. They also have a drinks trolley after 6pm doing the rounds selling wine! Need you anymore excuses….

Lovely items wish I could have come too. Did you buy anything interesting?
