Monday Inspiration – cube illusion

I saw this online at Contemporist and fell head long in love. This cube appeals to me on so many levels and I think it looks pretty unbelievable too. I really want to handle it and feel the tactile nature of the wood and the voluptuous beauty.

The case is a simple cube, with a surface covered with geometric ornaments produced by CNC-woodturning. The case is diagonally symmetrical, so the storage section can be covered with the lid.

Cube Illusion by Laszio Tompa was selected on IFDA Asahikawa 2011 as a finalist.
