4 Reasons to love Paris

I am exhausted after a glorious, but frantically busy four days in Paris. I’ve been absolutely craving a trip to Paris as I haven’t been since before the arrival of my little one. The whole reason for this trip was for Paris Design Week which means essential Maison et Objet and Paris Deco Off visits and unfortunately there wasn’t much time to squeeze in much else. But it was Paris.  And Paris is well… Paris!  It was le coup de foudre (love at first sight) all over again even though it was very cold and prone to rain and drizzle.

There are countless reason’s to love Paris and some are clichéd but this trip made me realize how dear to my heart the below are.

The Parisian roofline in all its higgledy-piggledy glory is a triumph. It sparks your imagination and makes you lean out windows to see more.

Instagram Foodies to follow guide in 2015

I’ve pledged over the next couple of weeks to give a shout out to people I follow on Instagram and think are worth following. It’s all very subjective as one mans trash is another mans treasure. I didn’t know that whilst I’ve been living in my instagram bubble that the sites following has been growing and growing with Instagram now having more than 300 million active users.

Instagram is however a foodie heaven and you can’t fail to notice that pretty much everyone is posting pictures of their food. Whether they’ve cooked it themselves or they’re eating out, food is a top share on instagram and far more interesting than selfies in my own opinion. You’ll notice that I’m generally interested in colour and texture and therefore do not discriminate on whether these folks are home cooks, professional photographers or just enjoying a great meal out.  So here goes, these are the Foodies that I think are worth a follow and make me salivate early in the morning.
Adam Goldberg's alifewortheating has a huge following and an even bigger love of food. He catalogues the dishes he consumes and also posts the amazing views he sees between meals.

I’m an avid fan of Spoonforkbacon’s blog Teri Lyn Fischer and Jenny Park have the most delicious looking and gorgeously composed food pictures.

Theboywhobakes is Edd Kimber’s instagram feed and it’s full of pastries, cakes and sticky buns. He’s a baking whizz and it makes me want sweet things immediately.

I LOVE the pictures of Joann Pai via her instagram account SliceofPai she’s a photographer and food stylist and her account is unmissable.

This heavenly London-based food and travel photographer isn’t a prolific poster but when he does the composition and textures are dreamy. MowieKay

London-based Giulia takes colourfully composed photos of her foodie travels and also writes a brilliant blog Mondomulia.

Another London based instagrammer Sarka Babicka has gorgeous photographs full of texture, colour and zen compositions.

As is Gothenburg food stylist dagmars kitchen the light in her pictures is captivating.

It’s by no means exhaustive as I plan on sharing more over the coming months. If you know of any that I should be following please let me know…

Now if I could just find a way to filter/sort my feed I’d be in heaven a few more times in the day.

Totally loving Instagram: Who to follow guide

I’m going to admit I’m a bit slow on the uptake here. I’ve been a user of instagram for many years and just followed a small group of friends and family until recently. I think my addiction to pinterest is openly acknowledge but I hadn’t gravitated to following and searching out great inspirational photographers on instagram (other than my dear friends!) until very very recently.
It's been a couple of months in the making but I now love to take a moment with a cuppa first thing in the (dark) morning and view the calm and chaos of the world via instagram from the comfort of my own bed (before my toddler clamours too loudly that its breakfast time).  Sometimes all you need is a little eye candy to get the day started. Plus instagram is a very friendly place I've discovered.

So over the next couple of weeks I’m going to give a shout out to people I follow and think are worth following. Also if you know of any that I should be following please let me know…

So later this week I'm going to start with the Foodies that I think are worth a follow. And make me salivate early in the morning.....
