Colour Colour Colour – for #makeyousmilestyle

It’s pretty well documented here that I have a love of colour.  So you can imagine my delight at opening the wonderful new book by Will Taylor of BrightBazaarEmbracing Colour For make you smile style. It's jam packed with full on hues and daring colour combinations and has tonnes of advice on how to make colour work in your home.  It’s wonderful to see hints and tips to help take away the fear of getting it wrong.

In honour of Will’s book I thought I’d share some bright corners of my own home.
As you can see, I too am a fan of yellow.  There is a whole chapter in Will's book about yellow and it pops up throughout the book.
There are also some great lime and turquoise interior shots in the book of Jonathan Adler and Simon Doonan’s home - I'm particularly taken with the gorgeous Platner chairs.  I personally fell in love with the lime and blue combo when I chose my Fermob garden furniture. I also added a hot orange sentry style shed.

  1. Every home needs colour. Its amazing what even one feature piece of furniture in a vibrant colour can do to a room, or a rug, throw or cushions. A splash of colour lifts a space and adds dimension.
