Jonathan Adler New Store and GIVEAWAY

Friday, 14 October 2011

Yesterday I went along to the NEW Jonathan Adler Store (his first in Europe) that has opened on Sloane Avenue, opposite from the Conran Shop. It only opened it doors to the public on Monday afternoon!
Having now opened his first European Store in London I can shop more frequently rather than having to cram my suitcase whenever I’m in New York. The store certainly does not disappoint either, I was in raptures, it just makes you smile the minute you walk through the door.
I’m sure by now most people have seen or heard of Jonathan Adler and know that colour and form are key to his design aesthetic.  The colourful and sometimes cheeky cushions and tableware are extremely covetable and really fun.  It's all about what Jonathan likes to describe as "chic and cheeky."
The shop has wonderful accessories for your home without having to play it safe.  From the C. Jeré Studio’s gorgeous metal sunbursts, to the signature Jonathan Adler pottery. There is also Jonathan’s range of rugs and furniture - the man turns his hand to everything and does it well too.
The fresh pops of blue, green and orange cannot help but let the sunshine in. I challenge anyone not to feel uplifted in this space.
Below are some of my favourite items from the collection available in London.
And I have my eye on the one below for a client’s bedroom project
My favourite dog themed items and the Jonathan Adler dachshund in midnight glaze that I own already. Milo also wants a new smart bowl and would like the blue.
To celebrate the opening of the first Jonathan Adler store in Europe I am giving away a set of Jonathan Adler books:-

Jonathan Adler on Happy Chic Colors and Jonathan Adler on Happy ChicAccessorising

  4. Hi Mary. I'm sorry but I just don't get it. There appears to be so much going on in the pictures and the styling is very over the top. I appreciate it's not my taste, being a lot more minimal and hating clutter. Hope you don't mind my saying so... :-)

  5. If I ever were to have full, free choice from a JA store I might just freeze up, overwhelmed with excitement. After pulling my wits together I'd make my way to the Santorini pottery, a pair of Carnaby lamps and a herringbone rug. Fingers crossed! hello (at) sugarflowerstationery . com
